Dr. Kate Brennan specializes in palliative care. Euthanasia is growing trend in her field, but Kate is passionate in her opposition to it. Her mother, however, feels just as strongly about her right to decide when she dies - and hates the retirement community Kate has put her in. While Kate struggles with her own issues, her children are trying to figure out who they are and who they want to be.
