Frustrated with the limitations of living life as a black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist Lestat De Lioncourt's offer of becoming his vampire companion. But Louis' intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat's newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.

While not sticking to the source material like glue, there's just enough of it for diehard and casual fans alike. Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson are fantastic actors and the raw emotion of the situations they find themselves in are well played. If you want a script of Anne rices work then this may not be for you. The changes don't really bother me at all and it's far closer to the source material than the movie was.

I’m enjoying this show very much. The updates to the characters are refreshing and Sam Reid as Lestat is at the same time entertaining and terrifying.

As a fan of the books I am enjoying the series so far. It will be a slow burn so for those that aren't interested in their story it might a bit slow. Otherwise I really enjoy this show.
