A drama about how the Special Air Service (SAS) was formed during World War II.
David Stirling is a young officer who is hospitalized after a training exercise mishap. During the darkest days of World War II, he comes up with a radical plan that goes against all accepted rules of modern warfare, and recruits the toughest, brightest soldiers for a small undercover unit that will create mayhem behind enemy lines.
Based on Ben Macintyre's best-selling book of the same name.

Love this show my only complaint is that in between the seasons it’s a long wait but season one was exceptional in season two was right there with it. I hope they don’t wait another three years for season three. I’m not gonna complain about only being six episodes each season because the episodes are well written very good cast and looted your seat plot twist.

Speaking of "World Ward II," (as described above), Hogan's Heroes was about the dark days of a WW II prison ward. Though I wouldn't necessarily describe those heroes as the toughest and brightest. Radical yes.
