Stephen is not attractive at all. For him to be such a player, they should have gone with another actor...

First off, I have to say, I never read the book this show is based on so I don't know how accurate it is. If it's anything like the show, then I'm glad I never read it. I went in thinking this was about a manipulative yet uber charming man who casts a spell over an innocent and naive young girl. Manipulative is right, but that can actually be applied to both of them. Charming is out. Stephen comes off as super creepy and brooding. No charm at all. Lucy is far from innocent and I wouldn't call her naive either. Mind numbingly stupid, yes, but not naive. Both main characters are extremely unlikeable as well as toxic, manipulative, selfish and narcissistic. Basically, they were a match made in heaven and should stay together so no one else ever has to deal with them. Only reason some would say otherwise is because of the obvious lack of chemistry between the two actors. Their sex scenes were painfully dull. Anyway, with that said, I watched this whole season and regret it. I won't make that mistake again.
