Each a highly skilled amateur dancer, they spend tens of thousands of dollars on their hair, makeup and outfits, as well as the expenses for their professional partners to practice, travel and compete with them.

These women from all walks of life negotiate time away from their families so they can dance. They may appear composed in the ballroom, but behind the scenes they are willing to sabotage their frenemies in the name of competition, because winning is an obsession regardless of the cost.
