Gritty cop drama Southland will return for a second season in the Fall.

NBC recently announced that Southland has been renewed for a second season with a 13 episode order. Additional episodes may be added, but will likely depend on how the ratings look when the show returns.
Look for the second season premiere on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 9pm ET/PT.
