CBS has renewed CSI: NY for an eighth season after what reportedly came down to a last minute decision between it and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. The latter was canceled earlier today.

CSI: NY had been considered on-the-bubble for cancellation this season after its move from Wednesdays to Fridays caused a dip in the ratings. Last season the show averaged a 3.0 in the key adults 18-49 demographic, whereas this season that number dropped to 1.7 on its new night.

please dont cancel any of the csi shows. they are amongst
my favorite things to watch. they have gotten me through
many a trying day.

PLEASE DO NOT cancel CSI NY and CSI Miami!!! They are EXCELLENT shows!!! All the CSI's and the 2 NCIS's are the only thing I enjoy on tv anymore!!!!!

Are we going to see the rest of season 8 of CSI NY? I loved Friday nights on CBS because of that show. I hope it isn't cancelled.
