NBC Pulls Saving Hope

The medical drama will still continue for Canadian audiences.

September 5, 2012

NBC has taken Saving Hope off its schedule effective immediately. The low-rated medical drama still has two episodes remaining in its first season, which will now only be shown online for US audiences at NBC.com.

The Canadian-based series will still continue for viewers in its native land, as the show has already been picked up for a second season by CTV.

Wow, NBC Has their head up their a## yet again by canceling another terrific show. But don't fret, eh!!! I'll let you in on the little Canadian secret - go to www.CTV.ca to watch full episodes from season 1. Word is that they've extended season 2 to have 18 episodes which you will be able to view online once they are available. Enjoy!!!!!

This was a creative and interesting show to watch. Ya I agree what this world needs is another sick reality show.

I thought it really stunk that NBC pulled the last two shows. I managed to watch them online, but not everybody is able to do that!

I loved this show! I don't know what the people are talking about that are so negative. Am also a big Michael Shanks fan (Stargate) and that's what initially got me interested, but I thought it was very well done.

I'm in the U.S. so hopefully there's some way to see season 2....

While I wasn't a big fan of this show, I am sorry to see it go. As a Stargate fan, it was nice to Michael Shanks again. I kept hoping to Amanda Tapping(since the morons at Syfy cancelled Sanctuary) or Chris Judge as guest stars.

My parents are 66 and 67, and they hated this show more than I did. We were discussing lousy shows, and they brought this one up. They love Parenthood, but thought this wretched.

Obviously, if Canada renewed it for another year-it couldn't have been a total waste. Somehow, when a show touches the heart of anyone over forty-it has to go.
I never missed an episode, and whoever decided to pull it
didn't want to add the extra time or money to do some PR work. Thank God the powers that be had the sense to keep "Parenthood" or that would have been pulled as well.

Mike, you can watch them on the last two episodes on the internet. There are several sites I use to watch shows I would otherwise not see. I just checked one of them and both episodes are on there.

So we seem to be split even as to those who liked the show and those who trashed it. I am 70 and a tv adict retired from america to the Philippines. Watched the show and must say enjoyed it. I was not to upset at he cancelation except for the timing. Two shows left that could bring closier to doc who was in a comma. So not showing the end made me mad. Also dsince I was not in the U>S>A I could not get the final shows off the internet, so because of the idiots at the network who canceled the show I say to you ,---hope you get canceled with no notice and sent packing looking for a new job.

Thank what ever deity you choose to worship this thing got cancelled. I'm kinda hoping it pulls a Combat Hospital, and loses its Canadian station as well.

I mean, really, how long could this show have gone on for? The guy is in limbo? Eventually he's either going to die or come back to life. Then its game over. Plus, WTF is with the lens flare? I'm Canadian, and there's no reason for that. Seriously, you can say that's just Canadian production or what have you, but really? You don't see that in Fringe, Once Upon A Time, Rookie Blue, or any other Canadian produced show. Like, that's piss poor, even North Korean state run TV is better then that!
