The new drama's future is in doubt.
November 26, 2014
It is being reported that FOX will be pulling Red Band Society from its schedule after the show's upcoming tenth episode. That will leave three of its already-produced 13 episodes unaired, with their future status in question.
The network has also declined to pick up a full season of the freshman drama, halting its production after the initial order completed filming. Low ratings have plagued the series since its September debut, making its prospects for a second season return slim.
As it stands, the December 3 episode is the last one currently on the FOX schedule.

Why does Fox cancel the good shows, this show deserves a second season!
Next they'll probably cancel Family Guy
(Family Guy is Awesome!)

So, now we've finally got a show that we can watch together as a family (Teens and parents) and you CANCEL it?? Maybe FOX should try to work a little harder on thsi show- give it more publicity- because it is much more entertaining than Hell's Kitchen re-runs and so many other things. At the very least, show the three last episodes, even if you do it on one night. At least let us know what happened to the characters- you left one on the floor and two in the operating room. Is that fair?? We think this show is worth saving.

This just makes me wanna cry because Red Band Society is one of the best shows I have ever saw and I'm only 15. This show taught me tht yu can be happy in bad situations like Leo, Emma, clara, Gordie, Charlie, and Dash tht yu can be happy with the things going on around you. And also this show is and the only reason whyy I like Wednesdays because it's one of my favorite shows of all time. I'm just disappointed in fox for pulling RBS off there schedule.

I thought this show was taking a step in the right direction for giving the younger viewers of today. Sad to see it go since I thought this 'hospital' show had promise. Not enough blood and guts, I suppose.

I didn't think I'd like this show, but I watched it from the first episode, and haven't wanted to stop watching it. It's really a far better show than the commercial trailers gave, different in so many ways from all the incessant police shows, and the dumb sit-coms that are excruciating to sit through, and therefore I don't bother with. This is so typical of FOX to pull a show before it really has been given a full season. At least show the last 3 damned episodes for those of us who did like it. I think this was on FOX, for not giving good build to the show, unlike their other favorites (like the Mandy Kalling crap show). Back to CBS and Criminal Minds... (just an FYI, Criminal Minds wasn't expected to last beyond it's first season... guess the viewers, once given a chance for a second season, showed the execs at CBS...)

I liked this show. Just show the last 3 episodes if you have to cancel. Fox sucks for doing this like they did for Alcatraz.

@ Durrrr - The Walking Dead is currently being shown on Cable and KCOP-13. The Walking Dead is only on Cable.
Neither show is on Fox.
Neither show is on Fox.

The wasnt the worst on television this season. It would be nice to show us the final episodes so we know what happens. Leaving on a cliffhanger was just not right, especially if they have the other filmed.

I actually liked the show. I'm one of those people that feels the need to watch something from start to finish and I hate how the 10th episode ended on a cliffhanger. Knowing there are more episodes unaired bothers me. I'd like to see how it plays out.

GOOD. I hated this show just from the commercials. It looked like the most cynical, cloying, pull at your heartstrings POS to come down the pike in quite a while.
