The superhero drama nabs a second season.

Amazon announced today that The Boys has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes a week before the new superhero drama premieres its first season on the online giant's Prime Video streaming service.
Based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the series is set in a world where powerful and revered superheroes abuse their powers instead of using them for good. To combat this, a superpowered CIA squad is tasked with monitoring the community and exposing the truth about The Seven, and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes and covers up all of their dirty secrets.
Season 1 of The Boys premieres on July 26 on Amazon Prime Video.

Wow Steve S is a bigger lunatic then Homelander. Get a grip man.
It was a good show, excited for the next season and glad they renewed already. Anyone could've told this show would be a hit.

The BEST anti hero show I've seen. I thoroughly enjoyed the dark humor. This show is not for the faint of heart. If you want your heroes to be upstanding, and have moral integrity DON'T WATCH!
If you want to see what a hero looks like with a dark side, a personal agenda, and a don't give a damn attitude this is the show for you!
Good storey line, good writing. Looking forward to season 2.

Not strange to have early renewal before show airs, either shows they have faith in it or are simply giving more incentive to viewers as you are "confiremd" 2 seasons. Not that its a gurantee as they could easily cancel it after 1 it is flops.
Also kind of self explantiary as to its rating on the page, people rated it without seeing it, pehaps based on the trailers? You can easily rate it 1 star if the current rating offends you.

If this series hasn’t been seen by anyone yet, why does it have a 4.4 (out of 5) rating on this page and how did it get renewed with zero viewers?

Well, when the expanse season 4 comes out i will reup my sunscription which ends july 27th, so I will get to see this first season at least anyways.
