The superhero drama will continue in 2023.

Amazon's Prime Video announced today that The Boys has been picked up for Season 4. The good news comes four episodes into the superhero drama's third season, which premiered earlier this month to more of the same high praise it is accustomed to garnering.
"Speaking for the cast and crew, we're so grateful to Sony, Amazon, and most of all the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to make more," said showrunner Eric Kripke. "We're thrilled to continue Butcher and the Boys' fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we're living in."
Based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the series is set in a world where powerful and revered superheroes abuse their powers instead of using them for good. To combat this, a superpowered CIA squad is tasked with monitoring the community and exposing the truth about The Seven, and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes and covers up all of their dirty secrets.
Look for Season 4 of The Boys in 2023.

There's a reason Stan Edgar doesn't fear Homelander, while everyone else pretty much %^$# their pants when he even looks at them.

As there will be a Season 4, there are a limited number of results that can happen in Season 3, while still keeping the actor employed for a following season...
1) Homelander can be killed in S3, and only show up in S4 as a flashback, or
2) Homelander can lose his power and pivot to some other role.
3) Homelander can have a complete change of heart if some other even greater foe comes along. Soldierboy or possibly Stan Edgar.
I'm thinking Stan Edgar is more than he appears. Way more.

Homelander is not dying this season, and the weapon might not even exist given it supposedly killed Soldier Boy but we now know he is alive. Homelander is the second best character on the show, behind only Billy Butcher. He needs to die in the final episode of the series. He is too entertaining to lose him before that.

They're telegraphing it. If they talk about a weapon that could kill him, they'll have to use it. My bet is that they'll use it on someone else, but not Homelander. The actor is having too much fun to want that to end.

I really wonder how the show will continue. Homelander has to be gone by the end of season 3 in my opinion. Everthing else would be a cheat. And with him gone, what will be the story ?
I enjoy the show a lot but I don't want another season of "how do we get rid of him"

This show is amazing. I really didn't think I'd enjoy it, but it gets better every season.
Season 4 of 'The Boys' premieres on Thursday, June 13.
