The Tyler Perry sitcom will end its run after four years.

TBS has announced the cancellation of one Tyler Perry series just as another is set to begin. A press release for the upcoming dramedy For Better or Worse also states that House of Payne will end its successful run after four years.
"Even though it will be sad to say goodbye to House of Payne, I’m really looking forward to exploring new territory with For Better or Worse," said Perry. "Working on House of Payne taught me a lot about what it takes to make a successful television series and I’m looking forward to applying that experience to For Better or Worse."
House of Payne premiered on the network in June 2007 to what was, at the time, basic cable's biggest sitcom audience ever. It continued to remain popular throughout its run, ranking in television's Top 5 primetime sitcoms with African-American adults 18-34 and 18-49 as recently as the first quarter of this year.
No end date has been announced yet for the series finale.

House of Payne was a very good show, I hope that it can be brought back now that Tyler Perry has teamed up with OWN. Even if TBS doesn't want the show, we will gladly accept it on OWN. I love Ella.

Please bring House of Payne back....For Better or Worse does not compare....House of Payne for us was more of a modern day version of The Bill Cosby Show (The Huxtables).......Please bring it back to the air. I would love for you to pick up where you left off with Calvin and Miranda..............

the last show as realy stupid. why would it just end with everyone happy, except calvin and miranda. that didn"t makeany sense. she just sprung a divorce on him and that was it! there should have been a few shows after that to explain what is going to happy to their kids...just saying

It is shame i can not watch TBS anymore because someone decided to cancele the best shows it had.

Meet the browns sucks....and so does for better or worse..I loved house of payne..I think Tyler Perry is making a big mistake and losing viewers

I didn't like house of Payne to much.. I thought they tried to hard to be funny.. Especially "curtis Payne" and Calvin.. Calvin was just too dumb to be real.. Over all I didn't like it I rather watch meet the browns they were more natural with their comedy..

House of payne & The Browns were some of the best shows on TV PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring them both back. I love all your shows & plays, but Better Or Worse is not like your other works.
