Fairly Legal follows a San Francisco lawyer who changes careers to become a mediator. The series premiered on January 20 of this year on USA and aired 10 first-season episodes, averaging a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49. It was also the top new cable drama launch of the year in that same demographic.

Season 2 will increase the episode count to 13, with production set to begin this summer. No date has been set for the second-season premiere, but it is expected to kick off during the first quarter of 2012. Word is the creative direction of the show could change in hopes of drawing more viewers to the legal drama.
