Christian Slater's new offbeat sitcom meets an early demise.

Fox has cancelled new comedy Breaking In as part of a barrage of bubble show cancellations announced late Tuesday. Also axed were The Chicago Code, Human Target, Lie to Me, and Traffic Light.
Breaking In was Christian Slater's latest foray into TV and marks another failed series for the actor. The Forgotten and My Own Worst Enemy were also cancelled early into their runs.
In Breaking In, Slater plays a security specialist leading a team of skilled geniuses as part of a hi-tech firm specializing in corporate protection services. The series premiered on Fox last month to relatively healthy numbers, but faltered in subsequent airings.
Breaking In's cancellation comes after only five episodes of the show have aired. It is unclear at this time if any additional already-produced episodes will still air.

God forbid a network give an ensemble cast time to gel!
