The freshman comedy will return with new episodes in the Fall.
May 18, 2011
CBS unveiled its 2011-2012 schedule today which confirmed that the network is bringing back freshman sitcom Mike and Molly for a second season.
The show - which follows a newly dating overweight couple - had a solid run it its post-Two and a Half Men Monday night time slot. It even received an extra two-episode order in the wake of its lead-in's late-season hiatus.
Over its first 16 episodes, Mike and Molly averaged a 3.6 in the adults 18-49 demographic. Ratings for the show did take a considerable dive once new Two and a Half Men episodes were replaced with repeats - falling to a 2.7 over the remaining stretch of the season.
Season 2 of Mike & Molly will see it retain its same night and time slot, following the newly overhauled Two and a Half Men.

My boyfriend and I love M & M. Everyone needs a laugh during our tough times and that show is the greatest. If it gets canceled we will be very upset.

Unless I have missed the commercials for it I have not seen or heard anything about "Mike & Molly" returning for a second season. Please tell me it ain't so. My fiance and I have watched this show over and over again and still laugh out loud each time. It is one of the funniest show on TV. I hope that CBS brings it back. I am a little scared though, because unless a show these days has a character that is gay or a real gay actor it seems that they get rid of the show. Hollywood has an agenda to ram homosexality down our throats whether we want it or not.

My wife and I can watch M & M over and over again.
Laughing all the way. Does not matter how many times you see an episode. Funny show, not since the Golden girls has a show been this adult funny.

Please don't cancel this show. It's rare to find a show these days that has you laughing from beginning to end. It's not stupid-funny like most comedies these days.... Please keep it on the air!!!

I just like Mike & Molly so much and find the the writing of the scripts just amazing and hilarious. I never do this type of research and writing about TV shows but was afraid that it had been cancelled and will look forward to its return. Too bad some of the reviews you have received are negative about a show portraying oversize people. Wish our society would be less bigoted especially when overweight problems in our society is a common denomination which doesn't mean these people do not have the right to normal lives.
Cudoos to all on this production and acting team.
