The veteran comedy will end after Season 6.
December 13, 2015
According to co-star Rondi Reed, Mike & Molly has been cancelled at CBS. Reed recently posted a statement on Facebook indicating that the long-running comedy's upcoming sixth season will be its last. She also confirmed that Season 6 will be 13 episodes in length, making it the show's first ever shortened season.
Mike & Molly has enjoyed a lengthy run since its premiere in 2010, airing over 100 episodes during that time. Ratings have always been fairly solid and consistent, and while its numbers dipped in recent years, they still remained respectable.
Season 6 of Mike & Molly is scheduled to premiere on January 6.

Both my husband and I are so sorry to see Mike and Molly go. The show was laugh out loud funny and all of the characters are fantastic. CBS this is a huge mistake.

The respectable ratings for this show would of been a cancelation for any other sitcom they have. They kept it around because Melissa Macarthey has "star power" (not my words, it was I think the CEO of CBS). They made enough profit so they didn't have to cancel it and deal with backlash from fans swearing off the network. As well as leeching off her movie career trying to get fans to migrate to CBS. If it weren't for her this wouldn't of gotten have as many episodes to aire let along get syndication.

probably too hard for Meissa to schedule it

Surely CBS you joke. The only good comedy on CBS and you give it the boot. Maybe CBS you can put another football game in it's place. Got to say you are not my favorite network anymore. Watching a lot more TNT and Hallmark Mysteries and Movies. Really fed up with CBS. Before long won't be watching much on this network.

Loved Mike and Molly!! Best cast in a sitcom ever. Laugh out loud funny and CBS had made a great mistake.

Ditto to what "Lorla" posted on 12/18. The first couple of seasons were some of the best in sitcom history. Not many shows are laugh out loud funny, but the early episodes of this qualify. By changing Molly so much, they not only ruined the show, but they also softened the blow since I don't care nearly as much about the cancellation as I would have a couple of years ago. The steep downward spiral started the moment Molly climbed out of her classroom window. That was completely out of character for the character!!! (not to mention ludicrous)

Loved the show, but for the last year Comcast only shows the same 5 episodes over and over and over very day. that's why no one is watching and the ratings have gone down.

NOOO!!! I loved this show! I did feel like it went down hill since Molly stopped her teaching & went after writing... I still am a huge fan of every one on there & I am glad that they will be able to wrap the series up, I had a feeling something is up when the season didn't start in September... :'(

I am so sorry to see this will be the last season. I think it's the funniest show on TV today. All the characters are hilarious including Jim. Sick of seeing cop and lawyer programs with their depressing story line. A disgruntled fan.
