CBS unveiled its 2011-2012 schedule today which confirmed that the network is bringing back freshman sitcom Mike and Molly for a second season.
The show - which follows a newly dating overweight couple - had a solid run it its post-Two and a Half Men Monday night time slot. It even received an extra two-episode order in the wake of its lead-in's late-season hiatus.
Over its first 16 episodes, Mike and Molly averaged a 3.6 in the adults 18-49 demographic. Ratings for the show did take a considerable dive once new Two and a Half Men episodes were replaced with repeats - falling to a 2.7 over the remaining stretch of the season.
Season 2 of Mike & Molly will see it retain its same night and time slot, following the newly overhauled Two and a Half Men.

This is the best sit-com in quite awhile....I don't watch many comedy because they are not like they use to be...But I loved Two & a Half Men & one night I started watching Mike & Molly and fell in love with it...it is a great show!

WE LOOK FORWARD to watching this every week -- even the re-runs. We're way over the 18-49 demographics, so do we count? PLEASE keep this running. The writers are so witty, and their lines, along with their facial expressions, are PRICELESS!! Keep 'em coming!! This show's a winner!!

Best sitcom since King of Queens. My wife and I love it!!! Hope CBS does whatever it takes to keep this show going.

Mike and Molly is one the funniest sitcoms that has aired in years. The casting and writing is outstanding. It's great to hear that it will be on for a second season.

This is the first sitcom in 20 years that I make a point to watch every week. The writing is smart and hilarious and I think it's perfectly cast... Please keep it running as long as possible.. It makes my Monday !
