Fox announced today that its new singing competition, The X Factor, has been renewed for Season 2. The show premiered back in September to solid ratings and has since gone on to become this season's Number 1 reality series.

"I am absolutely thrilled with the news," said judge Simon Cowell in a press release. "I have loved making the show and I want to thank Fox, our sponsors and most importantly, the fans for supporting The X Factor."
