Some great news today for fans of NBC's Parenthood. The network has renewed the drama for a fourth season, allowing its loyal viewers to breathe a sigh of relief.
Considered on-the-bubble for renewal by many, the show actually didn't perform too badly in its 10:00pm Tuesday night time slot. It often held its own against competition such as Body of Proof and Unforgettable, regularly outperforming the former in the key adults 18-49 demographic.
15 new episodes have been ordered for Season 4, and while no premiere date has been announced, a mid-September return seems likely.

I don't see any comments about spring of 2013. I miss this show and hope it will soon be back. Somebody, please say it will.

This is a spectacular show with current issues delt with in real ways. It underscores the value of strong family ties in weathering day-to-day issues. No sachrine sweetness, no perfect people, no subject is taboo. This is a refreshingly thoughtful and modern take on families today. I'm looking forward to Season 5!!

This show is hands down the best show on TV. The acting is superb. I love love love Parenthood! I'm thrilled that is was renewed. I was a little worried, as with a lot of ensemble casts, after a few seasons they get really expensive because the actors demand so much money per episode. Anyway, on with the show! Can't wait for the premiere!

YEA!! I am so happy Parenthood will be back this fall (09/2012)because they took off Brothers and Sisters which I loved because it was about family as is Parenthood!!! :)

I think this so is great. I don't think that anyone that is actually invested in the characters would find the show boring. It just about brings me to tears everytime I watch it. I feel that if you have a closeknit family or just wish you did you should give it a try. My husband and I are definitely glad it was renewed.

This is one of the best ensemble shows on TV. With a good balance between humor and drama, I look forward to a fourth season with the Bravermans.

after NBC cancelled (or didn't renew) Friday Night Lights I was worried about this getting renewed. Glad to see they made the right choice
