NBC has extended the drama's third season.
September 29, 2011
NBC has ordered two extra episodes for the third season Parenthood, which has aired three episodes so far in this early fall season.
The family drama has gotten off to a respectable start since its September 13th premiere, averaging a 2.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. Those numbers put it right around what it was earning most weeks last season and keep it competitive with its competition Tuesdays at 10:00pm.
More importantly, it is currently one of NBC's highest rated scripted dramas, faring considerably better than newcomers such as The Playboy Club, Prime Suspect, and Harry's Law.
The additional episodes will bring Parenthood's Season 3 total to 18.

Well!!! I must have missed that this was the final season of this show, or I forgot it. In some way, it had an even better ending because I was unaware that the end was near. The show has been well acted, with realistic storylines from its inception. As I watched tonight (on HULU+) I kept feeling you get when you're near the end of yor favorite ice cream - you just savor it and wish you were taking that first bite! When Zeke died, I knew it was over. The montage which juxtaposes celebrating the ending of Zeke'a life with scenes of progressive Braverman life, I simply shook my and said over and over Goodbye Bravermans, happy life! Sigh!!!!

I absolutely wait for this show each week. Usually when I like a show this much, it's a guarantee that it will be cancelled. Thank you for keeping it. The cast is exceptional.
