The CW has renewed sophomore spy series Nikita for a third season. The show began airing in 2010, where it spent its first season on Thursday nights. After earning a second-season renewal, it was moved to Fridays at 8:00pm, paired with Supernatural, where it has found moderate success.
This season's finale airs next week on May 18, 2012. The CW has ordered 22 episodes for Season 3 of Nikita, which will likely keep its Friday night time slot. No premiere date has been announced at this time, but a September return should be expected.

Nikita is one of my favorite shows. I'm very happy to hear that they renewed it for another season. It will be very interesting to see where it goes from here since Percy and Roan were killed off. I was quite surprised they did that, but alas, Amanda is still out there :)

I am so glad Nikita is coming back. Just let it keep coming back forever. This is one great show and action-packed to the max!!

Finally, a station with some smart mangagement. Maggie O and all the cast are fantastic. Keep the show on the air forever. It is a must see Fri nite happening. So real, So many troubles at every turn, so dangerous and heart-stopping. Thanks for the renewel of this great show.

Maggie Q congratulations on the shows renewel. You have worked hard to become a sucess, when I saw you with Bruce Willis in diehard three I saw a bit of magic in you and hoped it would be sucessful. Also the bad guy now has his own series justified both of you are giving me great pleasure. Thank you

WOW I had no hope of it returning, am glad to see it gets another year. Three of my top shows have been canceled and I was really getting depressed this gives me new hope for the future. Good luck to all in the cast and those behind the sceens you worked hard to make this show a sucess I am happy to see you return.
