Showtime announced today that Shameless has been renewed for a fourth season. The drama, which began its third season earlier this month, has been a steady performer for the network since premiering in 2011, displaying an impressive year-to-year audience growth.
Production on the show's next season will begin later this year, with a return set for 2014. No exact date is known at this time.
UPDATE: Season 4 of Shameless premieres on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

LOVE THIS SHOW, ITS EDGY,WICKED,MOVING, AND VERY REAL, THE ACTING IS SUPERB,AND LOCK AN AUDIENCE IN, IM HOOKED, I LOVE IT CAUSE THE NAME SAYS IT ALL,AND WE ALL HAVE A LITTLE SHAME TO THINGS WEVE DONE, GLADLY KEEPING SHOWTIME AS MY FAVORITE CHANNEL CANT WAIT FOR SEASON4

The preview for the last episode of the 3rd season made me think showtime was done with shameless. I am so glad they are making another season. I'm digging this series a lot. I just bought season 2 to watch it at my friends' house… even though I pay extra to watch it on showtime any time I want. LIKE IT THAT MUCH. haha.

Woot woot!!! Shameless is the Best!!! I'm so glad we will all be enjoying a 4th season. Hurray for Showtime and it's viewers. :)

SO HAPPY! I <3 the Gallaghers minus the parents lol.. This family is like comedy version of the Starks from GOT haha, I hope Karen returns next season although she's a *****. Btw Steve/Jimmy is so hot, lucky Fiona ;P

Good news, this show just keeps on improving and surprising me one of the true gems on tv and whats even better is no commercials to ruin it!!
