CBS announced today that Elementary has been renewed for a second season. The new drama has seen strong support from the network, being given this year's coveted post-Super Bowl spot in February, where it was watched by nearly 21 million viewers.
Today's announcement by CBS included renewals of a large portion of their primetime line-up for the 2013-2014 season. Other dramas receiving pick-ups today include The Good Wife, Person of Interest, The Mentalist, and NCIS: Los Angeles. Still awaiting news include CSI:NY, Vegas, and Criminal Minds.
UPDATE: Season 2 of Elementary premieres on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 10:00pm.

Great show as long as the cast stays intact. Lucy Liu saved this show. She is the catalist that makes it believeable, The mucky mucks smoking crack have made a wise decision. MKL
