A&E has renewed Longmire for a third season. Co-creator/executive producer took to Twitter earlier to give fans the good news:
The crime drama recently wrapped a second season that saw it continue to pull in impressive ratings with each episode.
UPDATE: Season 3 of Longmire premieres on June 2, 2014.

So happy to see Longmire has been renewed! I was hooked
from the first episode, and made sure I never missed a one! Other than sports, I find so little else on TV that's worth watching, I would have been very disappointed if this wonderful show were canceled !

Longmire is the only show on TV these days worth watching. Actors, story line, setting - all superb!!!

Waiting for biopsy results isn't easy, so finding that LONGMIRE has been renewed for Season 3 MADE MY DAY!! Can't thank you enough. My husband & I have read all of Craig Johnson's novels & have never missed an episode. If our opinion matters, it's the absolute, without-a-doubt best series on TV - network, cable or otherwise. The only thing that would make it better - ADD MORE EPISODES!! You've got a winner. Please keep the cast and keep it going. Love it all.

There are so few really good programs on TV these days. Longmire happens to be one of the greats. I look forward to each episode. I hope there are many seasons in its future.

I love this show!!! We haven't had a good series like this for years. This show appeals to all ages so keep up the good work. Great writers!!
