A&E has renewed Longmire for a third season. Co-creator/executive producer took to Twitter earlier to give fans the good news:
The crime drama recently wrapped a second season that saw it continue to pull in impressive ratings with each episode.
UPDATE: Season 3 of Longmire premieres on June 2, 2014.

We fell in love with Longmire since the first episode. We think it's the best drama on TV.

I loved this show since day 1, and I refuse to go out any
time its coming on. Its set in a town where my Aunt lived for many years ,Durant ,Ok. So happy its returning.

So happy the show has been renewed. Looked forward to each episode weekly. Wish they would do a entire movie on Longmire. Please keep these talented shows on the TV.

You just relieved my mind. I was disappointed in not finding Longmire listed on the TV listing for this season.
One of the best shows in this sex driven mentally fixed nation.
Can watch and not have to mute the show for all the offensive language and sex scenes. Leaves some imagination for the viewer to dwell on. Even days after watching the episode.
Besides you cannot let Longmire go on without having a true relationship or getting married again.
Seems to be a match between the lady deputy and the ranching lady.
Thanks again for renewing the show.

I am glad that Longmire has been renewed for a third season. I can relate to him and how he does his job. Great show

Longmire is one of the best shows on tv. And there are not a lot of great shows right now.

I love,love Longmire.. im a huge CM and CSI Miami fan, but the difference with Longmire is the setting..no big lights or big city, just open spans of beauty,mountains, farm land and not a traffic light for miles...Walt is a seasoned sheriff and I knew he would win the election... Branch had his fans on the show, but us out here in tvland all wanted Walt to win, i think ratings would of dropped if Branch won...just an opinion. I am so anticipating season 3..i want to know more about Vic and her past, I hope Walt's gf grows up because she is good for him,she just needs to get over her apparent insecurity with Vic, who is like a daughter to Walt, come on already, lol. And lets not forget Henry, really ive seen LDP in varying roles but he fits this one bang on. Great setting, fantastic writing, every episode just has you on edge of your seat waiting til next episode, please come back soon Longmire, you have millions of fans!! :)

I am happy to discover this! I encourage anyone who is a fan of the show to read the books by Craig Johnson - Longmire is even more vivid, and has even more depth, than the show. Its no wonder the books inspired the TV show, although there is more light humor in the books between Longmire and Standing Bear.

This is great news ! This a great show. I too will buy the dvd's . I never miss it. Can't wait for season 3 to start.
