FYI: Just found S2/Ep2 of Ripper Street on the grid for March 1st at 9pm on BBC America. Assuming it's still cxld, but at least we'll get to see the whole second season.

Every time I see something like this cancelled and realize all of the PURE IDIOTIC GARBAGE that is renewed time and time again, I get sick to my stomach.

this show was excellent! So disappointed it was cancelled. Will America see season 2?

The BBC says it cancelled due to lack of interest in USA after cancellation of copper.

Frustrating. We've waited a year in America to see the second season, now it's Cancelled due to what-- low viewership in the UK, right? Cause again, we only got to see the first season. America seems to love it it's acted out so brilliantly! Frustrating, to be sure. Hopefully they will air that lost 2nd season eventually. Although, to know there wont be a third season takes the fun out of it. Crazy execs.

This is a disappointment. Well written and well acted. Hopefully BBC America will broadcast season 2 as originally planned.

But Season 2 will still air starting 2/22/14, right?
