ABC has renewed The Bachelor for a 19th season in 2014-2015. The dating series has continued to be a top performer for the network after for over a decade on the air.
With no signs of slowing down, the show will undoubtedly be a part of ABC's prime time lineup for the foreseeable future. Multiple spinoffs have resulted as well, including still-on-the-air The Bachelorette, now-cancelled Bachelor Pad, and the upcoming Bachelor in Paradise.

To all of you that do not like this show. All you have to do is search on the TV and find something you do like. There are thousands of us that enjoy this program but will not write a comment because of various reasons like they do not know there was a place to leave comments. I found this by one accident.
I agree there is so much junk on TV that isn't worth watching those are the channels we should never watch and get rid of.
But if you do not like to watch "The Bachelor-Bachelorette. All you have to do is change the channel to what ever you enjoy and leave this program alone for those of us enjoy them year after year. Many of us will be very disappointed if the show went off the air.

ABC keeps this GARBAGE on,and cancels GOOD shows like Trophy Wife and The Crazy Ones, something is VERY VERY wrong with this picture.

... and no end to the unfulfilled, lonely, women at home who want to imagine they have some special quality that would make a man choose them over ~20 other women. -- if they too were treated like chattel.

What BS. Especially after what was on the net regarding last season. I'm glad I've never seen 30 seconds, and I'm in the target audience.
