LMAO at Bub! A navy destroyer would normally have other units to call a upon, and the 'commando raids' you speak of would be performed by 'comando' units that normally deploy aboard a ship other than a destroyer. The situation is that they are THE LAST SHIP and therefore have to make due with the people they have. Sort of like a det concept. Stop comparing apples to oranges.

Well of course this isn’t how a real naval destroyer is run and there is no world wide killer virus. This is fiction intended to entertain. If every story were held to absolute facts, it would make for a real boring, very short season. If you want facts, watch the news and there is no guarantee that these facts are true either. Star Wars also was just a good guys vs bad guys. But I'll bet you saw that series more that once. Si Fi channel is full of movies with bad acting but still entertaining.

Rhona Mitra is great, she is OUTSTANDING, she was also terrific in Strike Back (CINEMAX) -after she left, that show totally declined and was appropriately cancelled.

errr.. @Jan.. this show does NOT depict how a naval destroyer is run. It's pure made-for-tv drama and only LOOSELY based in reality. Captains don't go out on commando missions.

I LOVE this show and it almost makes me forgive TNT for cancelling Southland.
I'm not much of a sci-fi person and there's just enough of it to keep me interested but to also keep the show believable. I love the interaction of the crew, I love seeing them all do their jobs - I look forward to it every week.
It's interesting to see how a Navy ship operates, too.

So... this is the last, best, and possibly only hope to cure this world-killing virus. That makes the 3 most important people in the world the doctor, the captain, and the XO. But yet.... those three people go on EVERY dangerous mission???? Seriously? Apparently on board the Nathan James the chain of command hasn't learned to delegate operations to actual young, healthy, well-trained naval soldiers. They feel they need to do everything themselves at the risk of the entire population.... ahh.. what moronic writing. I think I'll just go watch Hollow Man to see Rhona Mitra topless...

I watch almost every scripted show on television(have to as part of my job), and unlike most of the comments on here I think this show is very good. I think people want way too much nowadays with TV. Just watch it and enjoy it. I thought this last episode was awesome. Keep up the good work TNT!

I had high expectations for this show after watching the pilot. The second episode kept my interest. But since, its slowly sinking. I couldn't even tell you what happened in the episode before last week's monkey hunt. It needs some BIG things to happen to maintain an audience. I'm anticipating an upcoming episode where the entire focus is simply battling bad weather or a storm. There needs to be much more going on or this show is going to drown.
