FX announced today that The Strain has been renewed for a second season. The freshman drama is six episodes into its run and off to a strong start, ranking as the #1 new series on cable in 2014 among adults 18-49.
13 new episodes of The Strain have been ordered for Season 2, which will premiere in the summer of 2015.

Some of the sequences in this show will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Mom tries to "drink" from her own kids. Producers: Please don't ruin the show by someone having a love affair with the infected.

I read the trilogy and thought it would make a good movie. I'm happy they made it a series. Looking forward to next season.

one of the best fix decisions ever! this show has become quite addicting and FX has quietly become a true powerhouse network..Sons of Anarchy, American Horror Story, the Americans and now the Strain! oh and Tyrant:) like I said..powerhouse!:)

Awesome news. Great special effects and a compelling story. It's like watching World War Z with the way it's spreading.
