A&E has cancelled Longmire after three seasons on the air. Premiering in 2012, the crime drama went on to become the cable network's most-watched original drama ever, amassing a sizable and loyal fanbase.
While its third-season ratings were down from previous years, it is not clear if that was the reason for the show's cancellation. It is being reported that its production company, Warner Horizon, will be shopping the series to other networks.

With all the crap that fills our screen you finally put a great show together to only cancel it... Someone there needs to be fired over that decision!!!

Longmire is one of the best series I have seen in a very long time. Bad move on A&E part as far as I am concerned. I am sick of starting a series just to have it cancelled when I am really into it. Done with A&E. Will be cancelling this channel today.

The DUMBING of America, REALITY TV. They can't have a show on that actually has entertainment value. I can not believe that they are cancelling this show. A&E you are off my list of Favorite Channels, I will watch any network, BUT A&E!!!

Seriously one of the best shows on TV and they cancel. Hopefully someone will realize what a really stupid move this was and pick it up fast. Goodbye A & E I am now going to cancel your network from my TV

Really A&E dropping Longmire, At this rate I'm thinking of dropping this network its very disappointing waiting for the series to continue then nothing. Sad..........

Why would you do this? We couldn't wait for the next season to start and you took it away. Longmire was the only show we watched on A&E. You lost some more viewers. We hope some other station picks it up. We'll move over there.

One the best shows I have had the opportunity to watch in years. Unless the actors wanted to leave I can only assume that the quality of the supporting could not cut the mustard. Shame we don't have skilled people at A&E. Longmire brought me to A&E consistently, it can now carry me away.
