There will be no season 4 for the crime drama.
August 28, 2014
A&E has cancelled Longmire after three seasons on the air. Premiering in 2012, the crime drama went on to become the cable network's most-watched original drama ever, amassing a sizable and loyal fanbase.
While its third-season ratings were down from previous years, it is not clear if that was the reason for the show's cancellation. It is being reported that its production company, Warner Horizon, will be shopping the series to other networks.

Please may another network pick Longmire up. My husband and I love this show and are so disappointed that it has been cancelled. And very surprised as this was such a class show with a wonderful cast. I just don't get it!!

Messed up. What network can pick them up? I need my Walt fix.

Which genius made this decision?....One of the best series on TV....just when A&E finally had something worth watching....Guess I will go back to never watching A&E ever again...Thanks a lot for another smart (and by that I mean stupid) programming decision.

Unbelievable! They cancel this phenomenal show and TLC revives Kate Plus 8!?!?!? Really??? A&E should be totally ashamed! I won't be watching this network anymore at all! Here's hoping that some network with more intelligence picks up this great show.

What a shame. With all the 'low IQ' TV on today ... something good like this was great to watch. Seem programing is getting dumber and dumber and shows like this get lost in the shuffle.

Another great series canceled after a cliffhanger ending, just like The Glades. Makes me think twice about watching series on A&E! I hope another network sees the value in continuing this great series!

Another classic cancellation of a great show. Last year's cancellation of The Glades was upsetting. This is downright infuriating. It will, however, make it all the easier to never turn on A&E again! Idiots.
