October 14, 2014
NBC announced today that The Voice will be returning for an eighth season. The singing competition continues to be a top performer for the network, opening this fall as prime time's #1 reality show.
Season 8 of The Voice will premiere in early 2015 and will see the return of original coach Christina Aguilera, who was last on the show in Season 5. She will join original coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton along with with Pharrell Williams, who is currently in his first season as a coach.

The voice is so good this season. Why can't there be 5 judges? Christina and Gwen are both amazing! Pharell is to good for words. He balances out the team.

Apparently you've never used the internet, there Richie. Comments sections are for both positive and negative comments. Some of my faves get dumped on all the time. So here's my 2 cents. I'm just as entitled to it as you. At least Idol in its heyday produced a few stars- Clarkson and Underwood most notably. The Voice is all about the coaches. The lackluster talent just puts me the eff to sleep. Not to mention there are 87 of these types of shows on TV. I'm bored to death with it.

Honestly, I do not want Christina to return. I think Gwen and Pharrell are great additions and would love for them to stay.

John,
I have a brilliant idea for you, don't watch. Go ahead and listen to your Weezer or what ever else floats your boat. But no need to be a hater

Bleh. Can't we do what Weezer says and "turn off those stupid singing shows"? In all seriousness, where are the amazing singing stars? The winner makes no impact. It might as well be who's the best at hanging drywall. It's all so very boring to me.
