The Broadchurch remake will not return.
December 15, 2014
It is being reported that FOX has cancelled Gracepoint after its first season. The mystery drama, which is a remake of the U.K.'s Broadchurch, failed to find an audience on U.S. shores over the course of its 10-episode run.

This is what's wrong with these one case shows, if it does well, it rewards its viewers for watching by dragging it out to a season two. Example : The Killing, Who Killed Rosie Larson, Stretched out to two seasons. One case miniseries is a great idea but not if dragged out in multiple seasons. I'm glad it only got one season. I look forward to watching Gracepoint case open and close with one season.

It was meant to be more than one season Jeremy. Over on BBC, it was confirmed that David Tennant, as well as other cast members of season one, will return for season two of Broadchurch. The American version is Gracepoint, same story and characters, except the very end when they revealed Tom was the killer. The BBC series it was Joe that was the killer. Can't wait to see seaon two of Broadchurch, at least its going on in this form. Upset a little over Gracepoint ending though.

Decent show, but not sad it won't be back. Maybe in her next show Anna Gunn can be married to a decent guy. The last two haven't been that great.

Failed to find an audience because Fox barely mentioned the show. I watched it after hearing that David Tennent was in it and loved it. Little slow, but easily a solid show. Too bad.
