The comedy will not return for Season 3.
May 8, 2015
NBC has cancelled About A Boy after two seasons. The sophomore comedy, developed by Jason Katims from the novel of the same name, had a decent start as a midseason replacement in early 2014. Ratings, howerver, slipped during the show's second season after it was added to the regular fall schedule.
The network only aired 14 of About A Boy's 22 ordered Season 2 episodes, pulling the show from its schedule in February.

Extremely poor show following an excellent movie.

I canceled it on my DVR list after the first two episodes of this season. I'm not sure what had happened to the dialog between the two main characters. But it came off real childish and not like how people of today converse. Kinda in the vain of the old Leave it to Beaver or Dennis the Menace writing. Fake.

NBC is horrible! I mean it is probably the graveyard of 1st year shows.

Think we could just cancel the cancelers? That's what I wanna do!

Yeah I seen it coming but it was cute and funny imo! Well everything gets cancelled, then we'll have all new shows and then they will last one or two seasons, draw people in, and cancel it again. Typical of networks nowadays.

I am not surprised. I liked it. But season two wasn't as good as season one.
