The drama will end after Season 3.

NBC announced today that Hannibal is being canceled after three seasons. The move doesn't come as a complete surprise after Season 3 premiered at series-low ratings earlier this month, only to fall further in the two episodes following.
The network issued a press release with the following statement: “We have been tremendously proud of ‘Hannibal’ over its three seasons. Bryan and his team of writers and producers, as well as our incredible actors, have brought a visual palette of storytelling that has been second to none in all of television — broadcast or cable. We thank Gaumont and everyone involved in the show for their tireless efforts that have made ‘Hannibal’ an incredible experience for audiences around the world.”
It appears as if the network will continue to air Season 3 through its full episode order, which still leaves 10 episodes remaining for fans to enjoy during the summer months.

I understand people who don't like Hannibal. Some of them are stuck on Silence of the Lambs and the whole Hopkins deal. I read Red Dragon when it first came out. I was working in a Fotomat booth. You had to do SOMETHING to occupy your mind in those days.
Red Dragon freaked me out. Dr. Lecter in that book is much more "Mads" than "Anthony."
In the end, it's all "one's personal taste." So to speak!
Going to miss you, Hannibal. Surprised such imagery made it onto broadcast television!
I agree with someone below, that it probably won't be tied off neatly, since I think all these episodes were in the can and ready to go.
I certainly don't see how the numbers on Hannibal could be any worse than those for Aquarius!
Well, at least I learned how to cook long pig in many different ways!
It boggles my mind that these execs give up so fast on shows. Yes, three seasons. But to pull the plug 3 shows in? Increase the marketing...move it to a new slot, etc. Most of their costs are sunk costs anyways. So make improvements and keep going. No marketing or biz student should EVER use our broadcast stations as an example of what works.
Boooo!
