Syfy has ordered more of the space adventure drama.
September 1, 2015
Syfy announced today that Killjoys has been renewed for a second season. The freshman drama recently concluded its 10-episode debut run that followed interplanetary bounty hunters chasing fugitives throughout a distant planetary system on the brink of a bloody class war.
The network has ordered another 10 episodes of Killjoys for Season 2, which is slated to premiere in 2016.

YUP......I so agree with you...Dominion lost my interest first 5 episodes, tried to watch but couldn't. Defiance season 1 rocked.....then lost me.
But I like Killjoys...hard to believe D'avin was a gay character on "Brothers & Sisters"

@Jared: You mean Dr. Jennifer Keller? They killed her off in an alternate future timeline in "The Last Man". I'm actually thinking of starting a TV Tropes page for this. I'm thinking of calling it "Nerds can't have Girlfriends".

It's not just you, Matthew. That's exactly what they would do. Only McKay's girlfriend was spared, but maybe that's because she was so nerdy too.

Stargate Universe suffered from the fact that it lost a lot of its audience in the first season. It really improved in the second season, but by that time it was too late. Also, is it me, or does Stargate in general suffer from a pattern of fridging the significant others of its nerdier characters?

I miss Stargate Universe. Killjoys and Dark Matter just don't match up. Neither do Defiance and Continuum. I'm glad there are some space oriented science fiction shows that people are enjoying, but my wife and I just haven't been able to get into these.

Louise - I'm with you....hope that Defiance gets another year. I'm glad to finally see SYFY doing some quality programming again and I think Defiance is one of the better shows. Unfortunately, I feel that with each day that goes .....probably means it will be canceled.

Great! Now just renew Defiance and I will really be happy. Tried to get into Dark Matter, but it doesn't make sense. It meanders and has no real plot to grab a hold of. Never could get into Dominion.

meh... Defiance had promise but it quickly devolved into an evening soap opera with make up effects. It's really drama WAY more than it is Sci-Fi.
