Syfy announced today that Z Nation has been renewed for a third season. The cable network has ordered 15 new episodes of the zombie drama, which follows a group of everyday heroes transporting the only known survivor of the plague across the country in hopes of creating a cure for the virus.
Z Nation is currently eight weeks into its second season, airing new episodes on Friday nights and currently garnering an average of 1.5 million total viewers in Live +7 viewing.
Look for Season 3 of Z Nation in 2016.

Very happy to see this show renewed! Its funny and refreshing and the only show left on SyFy I watch because they cancelled everything else lol!

I gave up on season 2.. season 1 was a a decent B-movie type ride that was clearly trailing the coattails of The Walking Dead. It wasn't great, but it was watchable. Season 2 is just Sy-Fy ridiculous with "Smurphy" the zombie smurf and "zombie plants" I mean really...... They just went too far. I think Sy-Fy employs writers then tells them to be as moronic as possible to see if people buy into it. And... well... after Sharknado 3... I'm convinced there's a section of the population that are a direct result of a growing Idiocracy.

It's not as great as season 1 but I'm glad it's renewed. It's cheese on cheese (with a wheel of cheese).

Great news,I actually like this series more than The Walking Dead.
