While I love the books to pieces I was sadly dissappointed with the series, a little less so than the movie which butchered the story. While they are trying to stay true to the story I wish it was better scripted or maybe the cast should read the books, it may help them feel their character better. Hoping they don't ruin a second season.

I love this show eps 7-10 were brilliant if people dont like it dont watch it or shud i say dont watch only 2eps and then hate on it all shows and the actors need ta be givin a chance to get immersed in der roles and get comfortable with other actors

So, a bunch of people feel about this show the same way I've felt about other shows still on the air ... go figure, ya can't please everyone ... my opinion, thanks ... By the way, I really like Shadow Hunters ...

Yet high rated shows are being canceled. The ratings for this show are pathetic. But it's been renewed. Makes no sense.

The movie was mediocre. It didn't make me think this is do good it's life changing but it also didn't make me feal like eating the business end of a shotgun. This series though made me feel like the latter.
This series is so awful the words to describe how torturous it is haven't been invented yet. It's like China made a knockoff version of The CW and took all the things that CW does right and cremated them. I'm normally not one to complain about bad acting. In most cases I defend the actors and blame the director for not getting the best possible from them. Which is a directors job. I made it halfway through episode 1 and it constantly felt like the actors were doing a parody or forgot they're supposed to be acting. I'd wrather watch baywatch reruns then this.

this show is so bad in every way its like finger down the throat love boat, it makes twilight look normal, must be loads of young kids watching this...

This show has effectively killed anyone's desire to read the books if they have only seen this TV show as an introduction to the story. Its bad, really bad. Katherine McNamara is one great looking girl, but even her looks could not save this show and keep anyone interested past the 2-3 episode. I last 5, regret watching past 2.

This acting, writing, and effects sucked. The pilot episode was one of the worst pilots I've ever seen. It was hard getting through the first 4 episodes of this show. But I was a fan of the books and was excited that they were coming out with a tv show after the movie bombed. I'm surprised this is getting renewed, but I'm not terribly disappointed. The show has already improved from its first 5 episodes. It's gotten better, though sometimes it'll have a good episode and then have a bad episode right after it. Its not consistent enough for me. But hopefully, the producers will take people's critiques of the show into consideration and improve it for next season. If they don't, I honestly don't see this making it to a third. They get one more chance. I hope they don't blow it!

I Tried so hard to get into this show,but the acting is so horrid I just can't bare it.Glad to see others are liking it though.Maybe the actors will get better through out the seasons.

Tried to watch the show because I loved the books but I was disappointed. The acting was not good for most of the actors and they changed so much. I'm glad to see it renewed though because I know many people are loving it
