HBO announced today that Game of Thrones has been renewed for a seventh season. The news comes three days ahead of the Season 6 premiere, which is expected to draw enormous ratings for the cable network this Sunday.
Recent rumors suggested the series was eyeing another two-season pickup, with speculation that shortened seasons would be ordered to conclude the series. Today's news includes no indication of an impending end to the show.

I heard one of the producers say that as soon as they wrap up post production on one season they start pre production on the next so they really work all year round and really don't have the time and money to do more episodes.

this show could last for another ten years easily. if they are smart they will up the episode count to 16. To get more eps in. however this is a expensive show.

Poor Cal if someone has an opinion he/she disagrees with he/she gets very upset and leaves broken toys all over the house and btw you insulted people who watch certain programmes calling them simple minded I didn't insult people for watching this crap

Radnarock I understand how terrible that scene was but to not watch from the begining is to not understand why the characters do what they do as flawed as they are. I have not read the oops so I have nothing to compare the movies to. The books are usually better so I am glad I have not read them yet. Who will sit on the Iron Throne at the end?
