The new drama will not return for Season 2.

It is being reported that Fox has cancelled Second Chance. The freshman drama premiered as a mid-season entry earlier this year and quickly established its share of devoted fans, though the show's overall ratings fell short of expectations.
The network moved the series to Fridays after only two Wednesday episodes, where it remained through the remainder of its run in March.

A very good show,at least it got 11 episodes instead of six like most are now,let's hope that it gets picked up. 😥🤔🤓

I tried to get into this show, I truly did! But alas, I couldn't help but change the channel. @Brad your comment actually made me chuckle lol.

This is a very good show, can't believe it's canceled. Probably too much thinking for the TV public.. This show had a very interesting take on it , if you ever have time to watch it...please do so.

I think the decision makers, at Fox especially, are terrible at evaluating their own products. Perhaps they are too close and this distorts their judgement. Normal viewers are far better at recognizing quality and ratings often don't catch up the first year. The execs fall into that large, really-dumb-viewer, category.

It doesn't pay to get interested in any TV show on Fox. If it doesn't absolutely kick ass in the ratings they dump it like a hot potato. They couldn't care less how much the fans make like a show, for them it's all about the bottom line.

we in the uk have just seen the 1st episode, and enjoyed the introduction, and now we are told that its not being renewed, well that's a pity as we love it. isn't it time you stopped doing this, starting one series ad then cancelling it, do the viewers here in the uk mean nothing, as to their views, you sold it to us so why not keep it going, it was just a baby of a programme , didn't even get to crawl never mind walk or talk you don't know when you have a good thing going for you you let it clash with other well known established programmes.

Here's hoping someone will pick this up - either a cable network or maybe Netflix. It was a decent show that never really got much of a chance - first or second.

Not an amazing show but entertaining. Worth at least 2 or 3 seasons if on another network but this show was a sacrificial lamb/filler to Fox. Changed the name more than once. Pushed it back to midseason. NEVER promoted it. Gave it a decent timeslot then pushed it to Fridays to compete with Vampire Diaries and Grimm. Never had a chance. Would've been renewed if it followed Grimm on NBC.
