The new drama is bumped after just two episodes.
January 25, 2016
Fox is making some changes to its prime time schedule, moving new entry Second Chance to Friday nights. The freshman drama premiered earlier this month, airing two low-rated episodes in the post-American Idol Wednesday night time slot.
With the new series underperforming, the network is putting Hell's Kitchen in its place beginning this week. New episodes of Second Chance will now air Friday nights at 9:00pm beginning January 29.

Okay, with Otto dead, Mary in India and Jimmy having to stay away from Duval's family, it looks like there is no way this show can survive. Makes me very sad. I'll miss Arthur or Otto or whoever the hi-tech computer is. Wish there was a way this could be renewed.

I don't see how they can renew this show, now that they've killed off Otto & Jimmy Pritchard has to stay away from his family. Or do they plan on making this into just another cop show in a horrible time spot as filler?

MY HUSBAND RECORDED THIS SHOW FOR US TO CHECK OUT. HE DIDN'T THINK I WOULD LIKE IT. I HAVE WATCHED EVERY EPISODE SO FAR AND EVEN THOUGH I THINK IT IS A LITTLE FAR FETCHED THAT A MAN COULD BE BROUGHT BACK FROM THE DEAD THIS WAY, I WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH THE SHOW. IT DOESN'T HURT THAT THE GUY PLAYING JIMMY IS HOT. SO I HOPE THEY LEAVE THIS SHOW ON AIR AND GIVE IT A CHANCE TO BUILD A FAN BASE.

Yeah, but @Pope, some of out here LIKE cop shows, and I don't care if there are 15 others just like. Most likely I'm probably also watching those other 15 so I'm ok that Second Chance is about cops solving crimes.
The only complaint I have is the basic premise the characters are based on. I just couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to accept that "coming-back-from-the-dead-because-of-your-special-DNA" thing, but once we got past that episode, the rest of the show seems to be moving along nicely.
I, also, like the interaction between all the characters, and think the acting is more than decent. So, I hope this show doesn't die an unnatural death and is on for a couple seasons, at least.

reminds me of Now and Again

they are making the same mistake that many other shows make. turning it into a cop show. like 'forever' not enough supernatural stuff. he can help his son solve some crimes but it needs lots of weird stuff. that's why 'grimm' is still on and 'forever' and others are gone. will Lucifer make this mistake?

Heh.. it's cop show... you could spend a day and a half listing shows it's similar to :) I think they moved it to Fridays to not annoy viewers and let them see the remaining episodes rather than outright canceling it. Truth is, all they need do is put these stinkers on at 3am so a DVR will pick them up.

They've moved this show to the Friday, 9:00 PM slot, to compete with "Hawaii Five-O" and "Shark Tank". They might as well have just driven a stake through its heart. Who is in charge of 'program scheduling' there at Fox, Sarah Palin?!!

Yes Chaz, I think that the show that you were thinking of was 'Now and Again' because watching 'Second Chance' reminded me of that show but in saying that, I will give 'Second Chance' a chance (no pun intended) before I see if I have to start criticising it.
