No Season 2 for the freshman drama.

It is being reported that Fox has cancelled Houdini & Doyle after one season. The British-Canadian drama premiered in March as a mid-season entry with a 10-episode run, but failed to win over critics or find much of an audience in its Monday night time slot.
The series focused on magician Harry Houdini and Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle working together to assist Scotland Yard detectives in solving inexplicable cases.

Fox almost canceled X-Files.Today it surly would not make it.I see the same names on here that never like anything.I am curious of what they do like or why they watch tv at all. They must watch quite a few shows that they don't like as they seem to know more about them than the people who watch and like them.Sweet pups ha ha.

Honestly, I didn't even know it existed until I stumbled onto an episode, mid-season, while channel surfing. Watched every episode after that, though. Sad to see it go. Maybe I should get Netflix or something so I can go back and watch the episodes I've missed.

Sometimes it is just a poor programming decision. A perfect example is Forever. ABC dropped the ball. This show was not a "10:00 PM show". It should have been on a 9:00 . ABC put this show up against Chicago Fire and Person of Interest. I will admit I would DVR the show because I rather watch Chicago Fire. Sometimes networks just make poor decisions when to put a show on.

Aww man. I'm bummed about this one. I kind of figured this was happening but I'm still disappointed. I wish I could hope for someone else picking it up but I think what aired is all there'll ever be. But it certainly was good tv.

Funny, all of you posting what a great show it was, if it was so great why weren't the ratings strong enough to renew it? Do you really think any network will keep a show no matter how good it is if few are watching it?

There's a lot worse they keep on. Wasn't bad.

Well, that is disappointing. I really enjoyed this and thought the actors were a great compliment to each other. Interesting storylines too.
