ABC will be keeping game shows in its lineup for 2017. The network has renewed Match Game for a second season along with three other game show revivals. The new Match Game, hosted by Alec Baldwin, premiered its latest incarnation in late June as part of ABC's Sunday Fun & Games block, airing in the 10:00pm hour following Celebrity Family Feud and The $100,000 Pyramid.
The show premiered quite well for the network, giving ABC its largest summer audience in that time slot with regular programming in almost a decade. With Feud and Pyramid renewed as well, look for the game show block to return again next summer.

Great decision, ABC; I love this show! It's certainly better than those reality shows. Baldwin is a good successor to the late, great Gene Rayburn. This new "Match Game" is just as fun as the 1970's original.

I wish I could say that I was surprised that ABC would team up with a vitriolic racist like Alec Baldwin, but I am not. No one can replace Brett Butler and Charles Nelson Reilly, certainly not the politically correct D listers they found.

Alec Baldwin makes this show, he's hilarious. The wife and I are glad this and the other Sunday night game shows were renewed for another season.

Its hard to screw up this classic show, though a few have over the years. Fortunately ABC and Alec Baldwin have come up with the goods this time.
A really fun way to end the weekend on Sunday nights.
