The USA drama will return in 2017.
August 16, 2016
USA Network announced today that Mr. Robot has been renewed for a third season. The hacker drama is currently airing its sophomore run, with six episodes still to go until its mid-September finale. While its ratings have been on the weaker side in Season 2, the show has continued to draw plenty of critical acclaim, including six Emmy Award nominations this year.
USA has not stated how many episodes are on order for Season 3, though a 2017 return has been confirmed.

I watched this show until they started with the graphic homosexual encounter that had nothing to do with the story line and did not add to the story in any way. I switched it off and have not viewed it since then. There are many other shows that I have watched where they do the same thing-- and I stopped watching them as well. Less than 1% of the population is homosexual, and yet Hollywood would like us to believe that it is more like 10% to 25% -- please stop polluting good shows with your QUEER AGENDA !!!

This show is incredibly creative in many ways, from the plot, to the characters, to even the way the scenes are shot off center. Probably the best psychological thriller I've ever seen on TV. When we realize where Elliot REALLY is in Season 2, wow, I was blown away. The 80's sitcom Elliot finds himself in (again Season 2) was so bizarre yet entertaining as it kept you wondering what was happening to Elliot. TRYING NOT TO SPOIL IT FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT SEEN IT YET!
This is NOT a show for everyone. It's deep, it's dark, it makes you think, and it keeps you engaged. Fans of reality shows need not apply!!!!!!

Glad for the renewal. I adored all of Season 1. Season 2 was a bit hard to follow at first, but things are coming together now. It's a really well acted, well written and unique show.

Season 1 was good. Season 2 is boring. Finding out Mr. Robot was not real ruined the show for me. I don't like all the psychological nonsense.

I recorded this season but haven't watched any yet. I am not expecting much as I was only lukewarm on the renewal for season two, and I've heard some negative comments about this season. The first season began with lots of promise but then was bogged in a dopy haze, or a stupor, with a good amount of perversity thrown in to satisfy the perverse. The show was overrated on all accounts but I assume the ratings wrer good since we are regularly reminded of its huge success and of its supposedly realistic depictions of hackers. It doesn't give me a feeling of reality about much of anything despite some real elements. I'm going to watch with low expectations, maybe that will help.

Honestly.. I watched the first 2 episodes of season one, half way through episode 3 I thought to myself... "How is this ANY different than the million other "cop dramas" with twists?" Truth is, it's not. If you like that kind of thing, great. Congrats on the renewal... Murder She Wrote and Matlock reruns must get tiring for you. But for those of us that are weary of the same old formulaic dramas that network have been creating for the better part of 20 years now..... This show can't die fast enough.
