The sophomore comedy gets nine more episodes.
September 23, 2016
NBC has handed out some good news to Superstore just one episode into its sophomore run. The network announced today that it has topped up the comedy's second season with an order of nine additional episodes to add to the already-announced 13.
The 22 episodes are equal to a full season on network television and will be a first for the big box store sitcom, which started out as a mid-season entry in late 2015 with an 11-episode stint.
Superstore has been a welcome addition to NBC's comedy lineup, bringing in higher ratings than any of its other new comedy entries in recent years. For Season 2, Superstore has been moved from Mondays to Thursdays in the prime 8:00pm hour paired with new comedy The Good Place.

I've never worked a day of retail in my life... and I AVOID the big (wal) discount (mart) chain as much as possible. It's literally been years since I stepped foot in one of those stores, maybe even a decade... and I find this show enjoyable and overall amusing. Much better than other NBC Shows (cough - Last man Standing, Dr. Ken -- [ewwww]).

This show is hilarious and I thought so before I got a job in retail. Very happy to hear it's getting a full season.

Great move, NBC. This show is a terrific workplace comedy and you don't have to work in a retail store (past or present) to appreciate it.

Why? This show is not funny. Maybe you have to be a Walmart employee to appreciate it?
