The new drama is on the chopping block.
October 25, 2016
The future is not looking bright for freshman drama Notorious. Word is out that ABC has trimmed the show's episode count down to 10 from its originally-planned 13. The move follows a slow start for the new Thursday night series, which has underperformed in the 9:00pm hour between Grey's Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder.
While Notorious is not yet at cancelled status, new series that have their episode counts reduced do not have a good track record of returning for additional seasons. For now, the show's remaining five episodes will air as planned, but the likelihood of seeing more appears remote at this point.

I really love this new show. I loved Graceland and the chemistry between the characters is amazing. The writers are so good. Please don't cancel this show.

Just because a show has am actress you like doesn't make it a good show. I could barely get through an episode and I like the male lead. Graceland was better than this but the writers wrote it into the ground.

Daniel Sunjata is great. I hope it's not on the chopping block. If so I will no longer watch a new show ABC puts on .....

I really hope they don't cancel another piper show. I really liked her in covert affairs and this show has caught my attention since the first episode. it has a very good cast also. it seems like all the good shows are getting canceled while they have long running retarded shows that are all fake and stupid. abc has already gotten rid of some really good shows please dont make this another one.

One thing we all seem to agree on... networks are overloading their projects with commercials to the extent it reveal formula writing and too much predictability and causes a lot of frustration for the viewer. Doesn't sound like a good way to market a product. My God, they never stop with automobile commercials. Never ending. I imagine that a lot of professional screen writers go quietly insane having to fit a scene in while cutting slower story arcs, etc, to work a full idea into the allowed time. I'm still puzzled by the long life of Two Broke Girls, so will chalk it up to individual taste at any given time. You know what might be funny? Lift a laugh track from say, the Munsters, and overlay it onto a modern sitcom, but not in any way attempt to slide sync the laughter with what's going on in the show. Or take a modern laugh track from Two Broke Girls and overlay it onto an old episode of Adam-12. hahaha Sorry, I got off topic. For those of you who enjoy Notorious, I hope the network gives it more of a chance for you. God help us, they might shove another reality contest show into that slot.
