The CW announced today that Arrow has been renewed for a 6th season. The veteran action drama is the network's longest-running superhero-based series, with its success paving the way for spin-offs like The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

With Supergirl recently joining the fold in its move from CBS, The CW now has four series set in the same DC Comics universe, giving them the ability to have characters appear across multiple shows in occasional crossover episodes.

Along with Arrow, The CW also renewed its four other returning fall dramas today. Picked up for the 2017-2018 season are The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Supernatural. As for the network's freshman entries, No Tomorrow and Frequency were absent from today's list of renewed shows. They likely will not be returning for a second season, but we won't know for sure until May.
