The veteran drama will be back in the fall.
April 2, 2018
The CW announced today that Arrow has been renewed for a seventh season. The long-running action drama is the network's longest-running superhero-based series, with its success helping pave the way for the likes of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
Once a flagship of The CW, Arrow's ratings have tapered off over the years. But at 131 episodes, that is to be expected. And yet, it still draws fairly good numbers for the network compared to its other prime time entries.
All told, The CW now has five series on the air from the DC Comics universe. Today's announcement included the renewals of all of those shows, which will return for the 2018-2019 season.

This is a good show. but there's too much , I am not happy being the superhero stuff this season. And such. We don't need it or the team splitting up we need great villians for them all to fight.

Andrew I agree with u all accept I don't believe the show can be saved, I also still watch reluctantly with it in the background while doing other things. After season 3 the show is gone downhill a more & more each episode, too many people dying & coming back to life.

Arrow used to be my favorite shows on television. I still watch it, albeit while doing other things like working on a puzzle and such in the background. I just find that the story lines have grown boring. This show needs more humor, more powers, more something. It does not seem to have that pizazz anymore and in my opinion, hasn’t since maybe season 3.
The fighting scenes have grown weary. In fact if you watch them closely you will see how fake they appear. On one scene I watched how a punch was about a foot away when it supposedly landed on the actor and thought it was silly when they went flying.
I truly believe that Arrow’s biggest mistake goes all the way back to when they killed off the original Black Canary and its only gone downhill from there. Do I believe the show can redeem itself? Absolutely, but it will need to change the direction. It’s been going in that’s for sure, like making it more of a superpowered show that The Arrow has to deal with.

Ratings have "tapered off" because there's only so much of a soap opera viewers can take.
