The veteran drama will continue in the fall.

The CW announced today that Arrow has been renewed for an eighth season. The long-running action drama is the network's longest-running superhero-based series, with its success helping pave the way for the likes of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
Once a flagship of The CW, Arrow's ratings have tapered off over the years. But at nearly 150 episodes, that is to be expected. And yet, it still draws fairly good numbers for the network compared to its other prime time entries. Yearly crossover episodes with fellow DC series also help boost its viewership.
The CW has a total of five series on the air from the DC Comics universe. All four others were also picked up today. Fans can look forward to more The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Black Lightning in the 2019-2020 television season.

It's a soap opera. No different than anything which airs at noon for old ladies. These CW "superhero" shows are merely soap operas with slightly bigger CGI budgets and then disguised as being more "masculine" so young men don't have to be embarrassed they watch them. But... they really should be.

They need to stop the dark storylines where the green arrow is in conflict with his own team, they need to go back to ga is fighting crime with his team. It is hard to watch this grim show sometimes and this new future storyline is even darker. One season of disruption is enough.

I am way behind on Arrow. Often it is just hard to watch at this point. I think I'm glad it was renewed, but sadly I wouldn't have been upset if it hadn't been renewed.
