The hit drama nabs another early pickup.

Fox announced today at its Television Critics Association session that Empire has been renewed for a fourth season. The early pickup, which it also received at this time last year, is no surprise, as the flagship drama has continued its run as TV's #1 broadcast series in the key adults 18-49 demographic.
Empire's strong ratings trend is bolstered by positive critical acclaim in not only reviews but also awards, receiving recognition with from the likes of the Golden Globes and the Television Critics Association, among others. Led by an impressive cast featuring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the series follows a family hip hop dynasty and the power struggle for control of their company.
Look for the second half of Season 3 to return on March 22, with Season 4 following in the fall.

The music is really bad in this show. But the story line is ok. Building a empire on hip hop which is very disposable seems like a bad idea. And fat people have sex too , so I applaud that scene in the show. This has good ratings mainly because of the lead actress who is quite good.

This show jumped the shark when that morbidly obese actress had that sex scene.
